Day 2: Name a book(s) you've read that make you think of one of the seven deadly sins (Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Envy, Pride, Sloth, and Wrath) (Irish punk - or really just a Flogging Molly song that came to mind when thinking of this prompt: =P)

The easy answer here would be Fullmetal Alchemist, but as I haven't read the mangas, I won't cheat and use them. (I just finished the FMA: Brotherhood anime last week and, spoiler, loved it).
I am perhaps shooting myself in the foot here, but I'm going with A Song of Ice and Fire. There were other books that I more closely identify with certain of the deadly sins, but I don't think any other book or series I've read better exemplifies all seven of them at the same time. (And one of the reasons I love it so much is that Martin has his characters displaying such flaws but still manages to keep them human.)
I'm not going to be able to name them all because there are eleventy billion characters in this series, but here are some off the top of my head:
Lust: Littlefinger, Tyrion Lannister, Cersei Lannister, Jon Snow
Gluttony: Robert Baratheon
Greed: Littlefinger
Pride: Tywin Lannister, Walder Frey, Cersei Lannister, Catelyn Stark, Grand Maester Pycelle, Jon Snow, Stannis Baratheon, Balon Greyjoy
Envy: Theon Greyjoy, Sansa Stark
Sloth: Samwell Tarly
Wrath: Robert Baratheon, Maisie Williams, Daenerys Targaryen
And those are just the main players. You'll also notice Joffrey isn't on here and that's because he isn't sinful, he's just a psychopath. Also, I didn't put Jaime on here because I don't think his main flaw is a deadly sin. I almost put him in Lust, but if you read the books carefully, it's not about lust for him with Cersei, but love (even if a twisted sort of narcissistic love).
My favorite Flogging Molly song, coincidentally, fits pretty well with this series. 'Cause we find ourselves in the same old mess' indeed.
