Final thoughts: Despite not having Rose in it (mostly), this was pretty great, mostly due to Charlie Higson's imagination. The Starman was a very cool addition to the Who universe. And Higson NAILED the ninth Doctor. Ali was a bit precocious for my taste, but she played well against the reluctant Doctor (who hadn't yet been charmed into being social by Rose). It also got a bit awkward and talky in the middle, but I'll forgive it.
Initial thoughts: No Rose . . . ? The fuck?
