A Million Suns (Across the Universe, #2)

A Million Suns - Beth Revis

The good news? My main complaint with Across the Universe was its predictability. This one actually managed to surprise me a couple times, which fueled my interest in the book.

The bad news? Everything surrounding those interesting plot turns remains frustratingly blah for me, with the added bonus of this time I noticed that Revis was trying to be poetical, attempts that mostly failed for me. It's good that I was wanting to rush through the book to see what was happening, but it's a bad sign when actually taking the time to read the thing to get those answers is an annoyance. I kept 'accidentally' flipping forward to spoil myself. Will finish out this trilogy, but overall, I remain disappointed because I think this could have been a great story if it had been handled differently.

(Sidenote: does anyone know of any actual good YA sci-fi? Because I would like to read some, please.)

3.5 stars, for being better plotwise than #1, but still pretty mediocre otherwise.
