Fascinating and really well done, but I feel like I don't know enough about the subject matter to fully appreciate what was going on. There were a lot of times that Satrapi just kind of glosses over information and I'm like WHOA, slow down! What is going on? Like not all of her thoughts were completely fleshed out. I also enjoyed the first half of the book more than the second -- the way she portrays herself as a child is just delightful, and the second half, which covers her young adulthood, was much more sober-minded and depressing.
Great read, though. If I ever go back to teaching, I'm definitely putting this on my shortlist.
