Laini Taylor, I think I love you. Your brain must be a wonderful place. (What really makes this are the gorgeous illustrations by the author's husband, Jim DiBartolo -- see here, here, here, and here for examples -- which makes it even more puzzling how that awful book cover managed to come about. Marketing, I suppose. If it was me, I'd have used one of the actual illustrations from inside the book.)And please, whatever you do, don't discount this book because of the cover. Or the description.
